The aims of the society are to preserve artifacts used by the Aboriginal inhabitants, European settlers and residents of the area for the appreciation of present and future generations.

Come along to Countryfest at Singleton Showground and see the amazing Australian Wife Carrying Titles.
You don't have to be a married couple to enter, just as long as you bring your sense of fun.
This year at Countryfest there is something for the whole family. The Professional Bull-Ride Rodeo will have everyone on the edge of their seats. See the grunt of the ute muster, the Australian Light-Horsemen will be on show with a ridden exhibition, and the big boys will be giving their all in a woodchop dispay. Enjoy some authentic bush poetry along with all the favourite fairground rides.
This year a live broadcast of the Australian Wife Carrying Titles by the 2GB Continuous Call Team will entertain you with their hilarious antics from midday.

The Singleton Historical Society was formed more than 40 years ago and displays a large assortment of artifacts including Aboriginal, convict, pioneer and rural articles of our Heritage.
Take the time to explore the 2 stone lock-up cells and the museum's feature exhibits from a bygone era.
The Records and Research Room of the Museum contains a huge amount of historical data which is available to members, students & the public. Resource materials include: library, photographs, literature, microfilm of Singleton Argus and Maitland Mercury, AGCI indexes 1 & 2 and much more.
The aims of the society are to preserve artifacts used by the Aboriginal inhabitants, European settlers and residents of the area for the appreciation of present and future generations.
The museum reflects these aims through its displays and research activities.

Infants - Free
Groups by arrangement

Lovedale Hunter Valley

A Taste of Lovedale brings together wineries, restaurants, gourmet produce vendors, musicians and artists from the local area in a casual, vibrant market-style setting.

The event serves to highlight the quality of food, wine, art, and lifestyle in the Lovedale area. A Taste of Lovedale will offer something for every one who is eager to learn more about the area, or is just out for a good time.

Food, wine, and art masterclasses will be run throughout the day, and entertainment, including a mini-zoo, will be on offer for kids.

Held in the grounds of Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley, A Taste of Lovedale offers something for everyone.
