Country Wine Drive

Drive along John Street over the rail bridge onto Putty Road where you will find picturesque farming countryside.

Driving through Mt Thorley you will see the open cut mines in action.

Visit the township of Bulga where on Thompsons Road (4 km from Bulga Bridge) you will find Hillsdale Orange Orchard.

Whilst there you can pick your own oranges straight from the trees and walk through the bush fernery.

Retrace your steps back to the Putty road to Milbrodale where you can visit Biame Cave (Aboriginal Heritage).

Drive onwards turning onto Milbrodale Road to the village of Broke and visit some of the best boutique wineries in the Hunter Valley.

Enjoy the magnificent views of the National Park you can stop at the Broke Village Store for wine tastings or an old-fashioned hamburger.

From Broke you can choose to take your tour on towards historic Wollombi, Cessnock or return to Singleton.
