Driving Trails

Singleton, discovered in the 1820’s, prides itself on the rich heritage and natural country splendour that is ever present.

The township is the centre of an area of strong farming, mining and military operations, and is dotted with preserved buildings and historic museums that provide a unique insight into life in Singleton at the beginning of the 19th century.

Singleton can boast about being the actual
geographic heart of the Hunter Valley. The town centre comprises numerous businesses,  convenience stores and country pubs.

Singleton’s central location on the New England Highway makes access easy and convenient and hence the town becomes a popular overnight stop-over for travellers from inland New South Wales.

However, if you wish to explore beyond the township of Singleton, you will discover an abundance of rolling hills, farms and pastures, boutique wineries, World Heritage listed National Parks, horse studs and beautiful guesthouses that capture the natural ambience of the Hunter Valley. Rural townships of particular interest include Broke, Bulga and Jerry Plains.
