Mine Drive

Drive through John Street over the rail bridge and onto the Putty Road and turn right onto

Golden Hwy; here you will see mines to your right and left. Follow the road to the picturesque

village of Jerry’s Plains.  Just past Jerry’s Plains on the Golden Highway is the Arrowfield Winery

and three thoroughbred Horse Studs including Coolmore.

Retrace your steps back through Jerry’s Plains for approx 3km turning left onto Lemington Road

this will take you past  Hunter Valley Operations coal mine where you will find a Public Viewing

Point on your right. Continue your drive to the New England Highway at Ravensworth where

you may choose to turn left to view Bayswater and Liddell Power Stations a few kilometres up the

road or go south along the New England back to Singleton.
